YouthBuild UP

YouthBuild - Launched 2024, the YouthBuild UP (YBU) Program, sponsored by YouthBuild USA, is a transformative workforce development initiative designed for opportunity youth ages 16–24 who are seeking to re-engage with their education, gain hands-on job skills, and reclaim their future. YBU offers an integrated experience that blends academic instruction, industry-aligned certifications, and paid internships—equipping participants with the tools they need to achieve financial independence and long-term stability. The program’s symbol, the phoenix, represents the power of resilience and reinvention as young people rise from setbacks to build new paths forward.

YouthBuild UP participants work toward a GED or high school diploma while gaining real-world experience in construction, real estate, and entrepreneurship. They not only renovate homes in their communities but also build equity—both personal and financial—along the way. With wraparound support, individualized success plans, and leadership development woven throughout the experience, YBU empowers young adults to chart their own course toward college, careers, and homeownership.
